EAST HAMPTON: Mitt Romney and his entourage glowed in the bask of victory after a stunning debate which took pundits by surprise. In East Hampton, the Governor enjoyed Polo matches, caviar and champagne.
“I have to say, I was pleased with my performance. I believe the best reward was to enjoy some down time, and that represents enjoying the finer things in life,” said the candidate.
Riding his newly acquired stallion, Tea Biscuit, Romney enjoyed several games of Polo in between rounds at posh buffet tables.
Senior Republican advisors were concerned the visuals and story would not go over well with general public. “He’s having a one-percenter moment. We can’t let this happen again. He’s labeled Russia an enemy of the state, but he gorges himself on Russian caviar? Keep that one on the down low.”
His running mate Paul Ryan was on hand and defended the candidate’s decision to celebrate. “He had a terrific debate last night. Have you tried the French champagne? It’s to die for, who thought a welfare state like France could produce anything of value?”
