USA:  The Goose is proud to feature a travel-related adventure story, Wilds Dogs of the Timbavati.  For those who enjoy intense travel reads, this one is a must.

A synopsis of the story:

Wild Dogs of the Timbavati

In a private reserve adjacent to Kruger National Park in South Africa, a rare sighting of wild dogs took place. Being an endangered species, we were told how lucky we were to see them in the wild.  The second time the pack was spotted, an even more unique experience occurred: the dogs were on the hunt. Traversing through the bush to see these creatures devour an Impala was unnerving, smelling it from fifteen feet away even more so.

Later that morning, our guide heard from others that Hyenas tried to steal the carcass from the dogs.  After tearing through back roads to witness it, we found ourselves situated between these two groups of animals, and there was no love lost between them.  What transpired was the most intense travel-related experience of my life.
